The Property

the little road that leads to the King Harry Ferry (quiet, clunk-clunk chain link)
in Feock, this charming detached cottage, previously
a ferryman’s cottage, is in one of the most beautiful spots in Cornwall,
near Trelissick Gardens and the coastal nature walk (both Nat. Trust). Motor
boat (maximum 4 people) available free of charge for qualified boat
users (must be pre-booked), moored a couple of minutes walk from the cottage;
mooring and trailer parking available for your own boat.
Private drive leads to parking area, garden sun chalet ,and gate to pretty patio
(river views, furniture, barbecue). Entrance to cottage from the patio; living rooms
at this level, bedrooms downstairs.
Porch (fridge-freezer) for boots, coats, wetsuits. Welcoming hall
leads to comfortable living room with coal-effect electric fire, TV/DVD and large
bay window (wonderful views); country-style kitchen with central
table/chairs, dishwasher, washing machine,
microwave; bathroom (suite plus bath-shower).
Downstairs, three well-appointed bedrooms – a double (5’ bed, TV/DVD/video),
a twin, and a room with 3’ bunk beds. Gate from parking area to large terraced garden
on the hill (shrubs, lawns, paths) – not suitable for children.
A delightful cottage at any time of year, convenient for walking, exploring,
beaching or simply relaxing.
Please note that the children's games room advertised in the brochure
has now been replaced with a new log cabin style sun chalet which faces the water
and a wonderful place to sit and relax.
