The Cottage
On the shores of tidal
Restronguet Creek on Point Quay, Feock, Regatta Cottage is part of a grade II listed
building.
The cottage is spacious,
light and very comfortable. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity.
This is a quiet area and the cottage and gardens have wonderful views of the Creek
and woodland on the opposite shores. There are enclosed gardens around the house,
and another waterside lawn from where small boats can be launched - an idyllic creekside
spot for daydreaming.
Park the car in the drive, and walk down the little path to the kitchen door.
The kitchen has been refitted for 2007, and is a very pleasant room, well
equipped. There is a small breakfast table in the kitchen.
Many visitors have told us they eat breakfast on the creekside whenever the
weather is good enough.
The hall has a good view
across the creek, and the door opens on to a little enclosed garden where
you can sit on a summer evening watching the creek and listen to the shore birds.
The sitting/dining room
also has creek views, and is comfortably furnished. It has a wood and coal
burning stove in the fireplace, and a private collection of lovely pictures are
displayed on the walls. The dining table is in the window overlooking the
garden and creek.
Also downstairs are two
twin bedrooms with co-ordinated furnishings, and a bathroom (bath with shower over,
wash basin and WC).
Upstairs is a large comfortable master bedroom with a view of the creek, and a second
bathroom (bath with shower over, washbasin and WC).
Regatta Cottage
is suitable for most wheel chairs.
Internet access for 2009.
