The Location

Morvast is near Porthcurnick Beach in the Rosevine area of the Roseland Peninsula, which is renowned for its beautiful beaches and wonderful coastal walks and scenery.

Porthcurnick Beach is a beautiful sandy beach with sheltered bathing waters and interesting rock pools at low tide - wonderful for children and adults alike.

The fishing village of Portscatho is a twenty minute walk along the coastal path, or 10 minutes by car. St Mawes is approximately 15 minutes by car.

Truro can be reached via The King Harry Car Ferry which runs all year round - every 20 minutes from both sides of the River Fal. Without using the ferry Truro is approximately 30 minutes by car.

The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are a short drive. There are two hotels near Morvast where lunches and evening meals are available to non-residents.

The Roseland Peninsula has a wealth of unspoilt beaches and coastal walks, many of them owned by The National Trust.

The Property

… in Rosevine, just a few hundred yards from the sweeping sandy swathe of Porthcurnick Beach and the coastal path, a peaceful detached single-storey house, originally used by coastguards, set in its own ¼ acre garden with sea views of Gerrans Bay from all main rooms and a terrace on three sides. Large enclosed garden with lots of places (tables/chairs) to relax with a drink and good book, and views over fields and sea; masses of parking, with space for a boat trailer.

Inside, completely refurbished in 2009. Large living/dining/fitted kitchen (dishwasher, combi-microwave, fridge-freezer, ceramic hob), the living area with comfortable sofas, TV/DVD/video, CD player, woodburner and three sets of sliding patio doors to the decked terrace (sunshine all day).

Three bedrooms: a double (TV) with views of the bay, French windows to terrace and en suite shower-room (suite); a twin (TV) with sea views; and another twin with French windows to garden and en suite shower-room (suite). Bathroom (suite plus hand-shower). Washer-drier in hallway.

A light, stylish, modern seaside home, warm and welcoming at any time of year and in an excellent position for walks.
