The Location

St Mawes is a very picturesque seaside village on the tip of The Roseland Peninsula, with small  cottages clustered around the harbour and beaches.  The little road follows the shore line along the sea front and up to St Mawes Castle on the headland. 

The village has small shops and galleries, two banks, a post office and several good restaurants.  There is a passenger ferry which runs across the water to Falmouth all year round.  In the summer the network of boats can take you to many other places of interest on the estuary, and down the coastline.

The Cottage

Peel Cottage is very popular with our regular visitors, many of whom come year after year.

It is detached, and is only two minutes' walk from the St Mawes waterfront, beaches and shops - either via the lane, or via a footpath.  There are some glimpses of the sea from the garden.

It has everything in the way of comfort and facilities. The house is light, spacious and immaculate.  There is full central heating and double glazing.  Peel Cottage has been carefully furnished and decorated to provide a relaxing atmosphere, and is extremely comfortable and welcoming.

There is parking for two cars in the forecourt at the front.  Enter via a porch where there is hanging space for coats etc.  The rooms are spacious

The fully fitted modern kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer) is equipped with everything you will need.  It has a wood effect floor, and the tiling is in greens and creams blending well with the cupboards and units.

Large sitting room with a coal effect electric fire and comfortable leather sofas.  At one end is an elegant dining room area with a wooden dining table and chairs, and a sideboard to match.  All the furnishings and furniture co-ordinate well, giving a tasteful and comfortable atmosphere.  From the sitting room is a patio door to the garden.

Also downstairs is a comfortable twin bedroom and a fully tiled shower room/WC.

Upstairs is a double bedroom (5' bed) with a balcony looking on to the lane, and a second twin bedroom.  Fully tiled bathroom with a bath, WC and washbasin.  All decor and furnishings are planned to co-ordinate, mostly in blues, creams and whites.

The patio doors from the sitting room lead to an enclosed patio garden with garden furniture, shrubs and flowers. A little gate through the wall takes you to the footpath down to the village centre.

By popular request, changeover day is Wednesday.

Asmall dog permitted (by arrangement) out of season.

A much appreciated, comfortable and welcoming cottage.
