The Cottage
The Pink House
has stunning panoramic sea views from all the main rooms - across
the water to Flushing and across the estuary to Trefusis Point and St Mawes.
The house is one of a row of elegant town houses, and is only a short walk down
the hill to the cafes, galleries and shops of Falmouth.
On the ground floor there
is a well equipped and spacious kitchen (microwave, fridge-freezer)
which opens into a tastefully furnished dining area with a beautiful outlook across
the water. Also on the ground floor is the utility room (washing machine,
tumble drier) and a downstairs WC.
The sitting room (TV,
DVD) is on the first floor, and has a bay window overlooking the same sea view
as the dining room. It is easy to lose a few hours sitting here watching the
boats sail by on the water. A back door from this floor leads to a sunny patio.
Both bedrooms and the
bathroom (suite plus bath-shower) are on the second floor. There is a double
bedroom with a 5' bed. TV. The sea view from this bedroom
is truly stunning.
The twin bedroom is at
the back of the house and overlooks the garden. It has two single 2'6" beds,
which can be zipped together on request to form a 5' double bed. Both of the
bedrooms have attractive and co-ordinated furnishings, and are very comfortable.
Outside at the back of
the house is a patio which leads down steps to a lower terrace. Children should
be supervised here due to the varying levels of the terraces. The garden is
a suntrap from mid morning to sundown. For sun in the early morning, there
is a bench at the front of the house, which is good for morning coffee.
The Pink House is close
to Captain's Corner (S210) and therefore convenient for two groups who would like
to spend a holiday together but with privacy from one another. Captain's Corner
accommodates two people.
Because of the varying
levels in the back garden, we do not recommend The Pink House for children under
five years old.
Visitors
to The Pink House have the use of an allocated car parking space
in the covered secure car park just a few yards away. Visitors are asked
to collect the entry card from the house to access this car park.
In addition, parking is unrestricted on the road outside the house.
