The Location

Set in countryside approximately half way between Truro and Falmouth, Lymington Cottage is a real "find" for those looking for a peaceful holiday in Cornwall, but within easy reach of both coasts, lovely walks and beautiful Cornish gardens.

Perranwell is very well located for exploring Cornwall. Falmouth is 5 miles, Truro is 5 miles. It is easily possible to do a round trip incorporating St Michael's Mount, St Ives, Lands End and the wonderful coastline of Cornwall - in a day.

The cottage is in the grounds of Lymington House which itself is set in 3 acres of well-kept gardens with a river running through. The guests at Lymington Snug have access to these gardens at all times. There is a river walk, a wild flower meadow and an orchard.

Lymington Snug is close to the coast to coast cycle path which runs from nearby Devoran to Portreath on the north coast. The branch train line from Truro to Falmouth has a small station 10 minute walk) at Perranwell.

Please note: There is now a charge for pets at this cottage.

The Cottage

Plenty of parking, and entrance from the private patio garden into a well-fitted kitchen (microwave). There is a very spacious lounge (TV,DVD, CD player) with a high open beamed ceiling and comfortable, co-ordinated furnishings. An attractive living flame gas fire (looks like a wood-burning stove) and many books, maps and items of interest, make this a comfortable and peaceful spot for a holiday at any time of year.

A pretty bedroom is reached via the sitting room. The beds can be arranged as a 5' double or with twin beds of 2'6" each. Recently fitted bathroom (suite plus hand shower).

Washing machine and tumble drier are accessible at all times, in the conservatory of the main house.

Outside is an ornamental pond, garden furniture, a field to play in, and a swing for children. Due to the river walk and extensive gardens, young children should be supervised. The river can be fast flowing, and the pond is unprotected.

Plenty of parking and an undercover area for bikes etc.

Lymington Snug is a very well maintained little cottage offering comfort and peace.
