The Location

 

This delightful, peaceful, apartment is midway between the long sparkling sandy beaches of Fistral and Crantock Bay.   Enjoy the coastal paths, or build sandcastles on the beach.  Or, relax and take in a "birds-eye" sea view from the comfort of the restaurant bar on Pentire Head, which is only 5 minutes easy walk from "Seascape". 

There are good family attractions either within walking distance or within a short drive.  The National Trust property of Trerice is close.   Bedruthan Steps, also owned by the National Trust, is nearby.

Seascape one of the prime apartments in the small and prestigious development called "Spinnakers".  It is the last building at the end of Pentire Avenue before the headland and faces the sea.   It overlooks the sea from the front window and Fistral Bay from the rear.

Lewinnick Lodge, the "local" is a 5 minute walk on the headland.  This is a bar/restaurant with fantastic sea views.  In season - and equal distance away - is the Fern Pit Cafe which has a nice terraced garden leading down to a footbridge which, when the tide is out, enables you to walk on to Crantock Beach.  When the tide is in, the owner will ferry you across in a small boat.

Fistral Beach is a five-minute walk in the opposite direction.  From the rear of the property you can take the coast path has wonderful views.  The golf course (open to visitors) runs alongside (again, 5 minutes).  You can catch a bus (sometimes open-top) which takes you to Newquay or to other beaches such as Towan or Lusty Glaze. 

Newquay Airport is about 15 minutes drive.     St Agnes is about 30 minutes, St Ives about 40 minutes.  The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project and Newquay Zoo are all within easy reach.

The Cottage

… on Pentire Head, also on the Crantock Bay side of Newquay, a second-floor apartment midway between the long, sparkling sandy beaches of Fistral and Crantock Bay, overlooking the sea at the front and Fistral Bay from the back. Five minute walk to Fistral Beach, or the restaurant/bar on Pentire Head, and the coastal path runs past. Swimming pool, snooker and table tennis usually available at neighbouring hotel. Bus to Newquay town.

Lift from shared entrance to front door.

Large, light, open-plan kitchen/dining/living room (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer, TV/DVD, CD player) with wonderful sea views and patio doors to sunny balcony (table/chairs) with the same great views (brilliant sunsets).

Three bedrooms: a double (5' bed) with views towards Crantock and Pentire headland and en suite bathroom (suite), and a twin (TV) and a single, both looking across to Fistral Beach. Bathroom (suite plus bath-shower).  A great chill-out place for beaches and walking. Cautionary Deposit £60.
